Chris,

Thanks for your feedback on the site design. You can re-order the results list by clicking the column heading - one of those headings is 'Posted', as in date added - maybe that term is not clear?

In answer to your question: The search results are now displayed in terms of relevance e.g. How often your search term appears in the job description.

There is a balance to be had between how relevant the job is to your search term and when it was added. After all, a week old job could be far more relevant than a day old job no?

I would like to know why you'd like to see the results displayed in date order? Is it so that you can work out which one's you've likely seen before?

Thanks again for the feedback and I look forward to more.

Design of homepage is good but searching is poor, not sure wh the jobs are not ranked by date added like the previous site. It has also erased all my saved details which is frustrating.

PS - I forgot to say, even with those caveats above, it's still by far the best jobs board I know of, in terms of functionality, and defining what you can search for!

Hi - mixed views on the redesign: the home page is fairly easy on the eye apart from trying to read graphics over an image, which is worse on the Vacancies main page (and I think goes against accessibility guidelines).

Also, the heading fonts are serif which tends to be against accessibility guidelines - the main headings are fairly legible but I found the subheadings in bold less clear (and I have 20:20 vision!) - and you've used italics in the RSS bit, tut tut!

I also found it hard to find the "advanced search" function on the home page, though that could just be because I was being a bit ditzy lol.

But the "style" or "feel" of the new site is good, nice and relaxing - good luck with it!

Tom,

It's an option we've looked at - it's a case of not making the results page to information heavy - you could order by employer (whihc gives an idea of location) but yes ordering by postcode - or indeed searchign by postcode would be ideal - we just need to be sure all our job advertisers supply a full postcode for the job location and not just the 'head office' location.

We'll be looking to incorporate your feedback in the next release in the New Year.

Cheers,
Eben

Tim,

Thanks for the feedback.

We launched the test site for comments over a month ago and your feedback has coincided with our launch day.

Now that we've launched we will be looking to push out another release in the New Year. We'll look into your usability concerns at that time.

Until that time you can use the full search page here
http://www.jobsgopublic.com/vacancies/full_search to filter by location

Cheers

Why can't you filter for jobs by region as before?

Hi.

You might want to look at including the locations of vacancies on the Full Vacancy Search page. Currently, you have to click on each job to discover where it is! (http://www.jobsgopublic.com/vacancies/full_search).

Thanks.

I have just looked at the test site for the new jobsgopublic network.

What a brilliant site, easy to navigate and so much easier to see what jobs are relevant in the search.

Keep up the good work, can't wait for the real thing.

Regards,
Jill.
