Donating to a good cause…

Posted by Haylee on February 29, 2008

You may remember that over December and January Jobsgopublic were actively encouraging organisations to place jobs and pledged to donate £10 per listed job for those months to the Bangladesh Appeal. This is run through the Disasters Emergency Committee (www.dec.org.uk).

Why the philanthropic push?

Over the past few years Jobsgopublic have supported many charity events and donation appeals that passionate employees have taken the lead on. The concept started as a quick ‘whip around’ the office for spare change, but grew into a much larger campaign (a challenge you might say). Like it or loathe it, the money goes to a good cause and we were able to donate over £1800 in total to the DEC appeal.

Jobsgopublic attending Flexible Working Fair

Posted by Haylee on February 27, 2008

With the work life balance shift over the past few years, fractional working could be seen as the answer to filling the growing Talent Gap. It has many names – fractional working, part-time, contract, seasonal, flexi-time or term-time work; whichever way you look at it, flexible working is on the rise.

Jobsgopublic are attending the Flexible Working Fair 2008 on the 27th March 2008 to be held at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London.

It’s free to attend, we’re going to have all our ‘part time’ jobs on show and be assisting candidates with registrations, so feel free to come along and see us and chat with us.
