Controlling your account on jobsgopublic

Posted by Haylee on July 01, 2008

We regularly receive feedback from candidates about information on the website and features on jobsgopublic.  Whether this is through the blog or our support team we like to ensure you that we do take considerations onboard and add in new features (including subtle adaptations).  So feel free to comment about things you’d like to see on jobsgopublic and we’ll see what we can do.

Another aspect we get loads of comments about is personalisation of your account including jobs-by-email, saved searches and such.  So I thought I’d start a section around your jobsgopublic account and how to get the most out of it.  So keep an eye out on the blog and we’ll keep you posted with more updates.

    I don’t seem to be able to save more than one search. I have tried putting multiple job titles in the one search I have but it does not like it. Please would you let me know how I can save more than one search so that I can cater for the various job descriptions that are used for similar jobs.

    Thanks, Carol

    @Carol
    You will have to perform a completely seperate search for each different job description/criteria.
    For example, if I was to search for a ‘Leisure & Tourism’ job in East Midlands and also a ‘Marketing’ job in East Midlands, I would first perform a search for Occupational Group = Leisure & Tourism, Locations = East Midlands ALL, perform the search and then ’save the search’.
    I would then perform the second search for Occupational Group = ‘Marketing’, Locations = East Midlands ALL and save this search under a different name.
    If you are still having trouble saving your searches, please phone our support team who are on hand from 9am - 5.30pm every workday and will be able to assist you with your query on T: 0845 868 4391.
    Alternatively you can send our support team an email on support@jobsgopublic.com and they will respond to your query that way.

    Thank you - I did not realise I had to carry out a search before I could save it. I thought I could just add searches (in manage my acccount) and it would then carry them out!
