Celebrating Brighton – Join the journey

Brighton & Hove is a place like no other.
From the iconic Brighton pier, to the bustling town centre made famous by its retail offer, ranging from international chains in Churchill Square to small independent retailers in the North Laine, this a city where memories are made and cherished forever. It is a city that is constantly evolving and growing, but always retaining its unique character.
At Brighton and Hove City Council, they understand just how special their city is and so have dedicated significant investment into a range of regeneration projects. The fascinating work of their Policy, Projects and Heritage team continues to change the face of the city, enhancing its beauty and making it an even better place to work, live and visit.
What do you picture when you think of Brighton?
Most of us will say the world-famous seafront. The council consider this one of their most important assets and have invested over £1 billion into this area alone. With plans for a retail space, bars and restaurants, the council have spent time reimagining and regenerating the seafront in ways that will capture imaginations for generations to come.
New England House – The Fusebox
Brighton & Hove is a key player in the creative industry. That’s why they’re creating the ‘Fusebox’, a creative hub that will provide flexible and affordable start up letting space for the creative and digital sector. This space is vital to nurturing innovation and imagination in Brighton and, once completed, will continue to do so for decades to come.
This major regeneration scheme will see the development of 142 new homes, new teaching and research facilities for the university, and a state of the art library. This exciting project will not only improve Brighton as a place to live, but is expected to generate 400 jobs and inject £200 million into the city’s economy over the next 10 years.
