Lewes District and Eastbourne Borough Councils are now recruiting to a number of great roles across a range of service areas, including housing, planning and licensing.
This recruitment drive comes in the midst of an exciting transformation programme, integrating the services and systems of the two councils.
The aims of this integration are clear – to deliver and protect high quality modern services for residents, to build resilience and to strengthen the strategic presence of the councils. By combining the best of both, Lewes and Eastbourne can establish themselves as places people love to work, live and enjoy.
To offer you the chance to find out more about the transformation and the great job opportunities its offering, Lewes District and Eastbourne Borough Councils are hosting two recruitment events in January.
Where: Southover House, Southover Road, Lewes, BN7 1AB.
When: Saturday 13 January 2018 between 10am and 4pm
Where: Eastbourne Borough Council, 1 Grove Road, BN21 4TW
When: Saturday 20 January 2018 between 10am and 4pm
Southover House is easily accessible via Lewes station, whilst 1 Grove Road is just a short walk from Eastbourne railway station. Limited street parking is available at both locations. Drop in any time between 10am – 4pm on either of the days.

The event will be attended by employees across a range of teams including Customer Contact, Casework and Specialist Services. You’ll be able to hear a first-hand account of what it’s like to work at Eastbourne and Lewes Council and the day to day responsibilities of your potential role. There will also be the opportunity to speak to managers and reps from HR, so you can find out everything you need to know about the council, their values and the surrounding area.
