Don’t let hump day get you down!
Arran Williams, October 31, 2018
It’s that time again – the day in the week that feels like the world’s biggest hurdle. That’s right we’re taking about Wednesday or commonly known as hump-day!
Now that might be a bit of a slight exaggeration but for many this day can be a bit of a struggle and all the caffeine in the world just isn’t enough.
So with that in mind, we’ve put together some top tips to help your hump-day run as smoothly as possible!
Try and prepare as much as you can in the morning so you are well organised throughout the day. This will keep you both busy and organised – taking your mind off of the hump-day blues!
Top tip = Write down and number all of the things you have to do in order of importance and tick them off as you go along (simple yet satisfying!).
Music is key
We’re all familiar with the good feeling we get when we hear our favourite song come on. So why not incorporate music into your hump-day?
Music has been proven to help with work productivity – we even wrote a blog about it.
So load up your favourite playlist, get your headphones on and go and shuffle your way through hump-day like a boss!
Top tip = Check out this motivational playlist on Spotify.
Learn a new skill
If you can, try and take some time out of your busy schedule to learn something new. Acquiring a new skill will not only keep you occupied but will also be great for you in the long run.
This can be as simple as learning a task or process that is not necessarily
required from you in your job role, but might help out another department in your organisation or one of your colleagues.
Ok ok, we get it, you are at work so maybe not too much fun. But just because you’re working hard it’s not to say you can’t enjoy yourself.
A little joke never hurt anybody – so here it goes – What do you call a group of unorganised cats?
Find the answer to that and some more cheesy jokes here
However, if every day starts to feels like a hump-day this isn’t good and it might be time to look for new career.
