Jobsgopublic at party conference

DanT, October 6, 2009

Jobsgopublic continues to surge forward amidst economic turmoil. On Monday the 5th October our Co-Founder Richard Tyrie co-hosted a fringe event at the Conservative Party Conference in Manchester with MP Tony Baldry. Richard used the opportunity to address the future of employment and the role of technology in that future.

The Conservative Party Conference provided the perfect opportunity for Richard to introduce Link Tank, a new approach to the complex issues of employment and skills.

What is Link Tank? As the way we communicate about everything including employment changes rapidly it is vital that policy makers and the technology community united to maximise the UK skills base. Link Tank will generate next generation ideas and solutions underpinned by new technology – this will harness the skills and potential of people in the UK in an intelligent, efficient and above all sustainable way.

With a tight economy and unemployment at its highest level since 1995 we are working towards an economically viable, sustainable model for full employment. By creating greater visibility of employment options, and optimising the skills and talent of our people, Link Tank intends to help transform your individual skills and ambitions into talent pools and help you back into full time employment.
